First off I’d like to thank you for being a subscriber to my site (https://daveiw.co.uk), I’m hopeful that at some point it has been useful to you.
As I’m sure you are aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) kicks in on May 25th 2018, and with that comes a greater and clearer responsibility of personal data.
You’ve probably received numerous emails from a variety of companies and websites already regarding GDPR changes, so I won’t bore you to death with reams of text explaining the regulation.
However, over the last chunk of December and these months into 2018, I have been working hard understanding and implementing appropriate changes to comply with these forthcoming requirements.
With that said, there is one vital component that needs your attention; the old membership levels have been retired, and new ones are ready, you just need to switch to the correct one if you haven’t done so already.
The main change is that it expires every 6 months; this is your on-going opportunity to consent to this site holding your information; Should you allow that membership to expire, it will be understood that you wish to cease that membership; soon after expiry, your account will be removed, along with any personal information held as set out by My GDPR policy, however I hope it doesn’t come to that, and you simply re-select that membership every 6 months.
That’s pretty much it; so you can switch now, or later, but you need to make that choice by the 25th May 2018; If you haven’t made the switch by then, it will be assumed you wish to cancel, and as mentioned above, your details will be removed. To continue receiving emails from my site, you will need to switch. You could do it now so you don’t forget, unfortunately after May 25th 2018 I won’t be able to send you any reminders.
To change your membership level to the new one; click this link https://daveiw.co.uk/?page_id=417 (You may need to sign in first), and then press “select” next to the relevant level ending in “(GDPR)”.
Again, thank you for your membership, if you have any difficulties, please let me know by emailing me at and I’ll endeavour to resolve your issue as soon as possible.
