I am the ICT Desktop Support team lead for a local Council; I bring a wealth of experience from working in Education IT Support, spanning back to the 1990s. My focus on desktop support, network, and server management positions me as a seasoned professional capable of providing comprehensive assistance and troubleshooting in the ever-evolving technical landscape.

Since returning to the public sector from a brief stint in tourism, I now lead a dedicated team of 12 ICT Desktop Support Officers. I manage technical incidents and service requests in this pivotal role, ensuring swift and resilient support for the organisation’s extensive software and hardware assets and workforce.

Rooted in proactive problem-solving and a strong commitment to customer service, my leadership style emphasises well-defined processes and performance management. It contributes to organisational success through training and mentorship within the In-House ICT Desktop Support Team.

To ensure operational efficiency, my team operates within the frameworks of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and Prince 2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments). ITIL aligns our IT services with the business needs, ensuring that our support functions run smoothly and contribute to overarching business objectives. Simultaneously, Prince 2 provides a structured approach to project management, guaranteeing that our initiatives are meticulously planned, controlled, and successful in achieving desired outcomes.
